Torch Club members were treated to a thought-provoking presentation at the February dinner meeting. Member Barney Feingold presented on “The Philosophy and Structure of Love.” It was a very timely theme falling so close to Valentine’s Day.
Mr. Feingold drew on his experiences as a therapist to describe both healthy and unhealthy relationships. One of his key points was the need for more positive sum games in our relationships as well as society in general, where both parties come away satisfied, rather than the too often zero sum games where one side’s win has to mean loss for the other side.
The presentation was followed by animated discussion that further enhanced the evening’s message .
It was a fun evening that was a win-win for everyone involved.
